Banff Festival


First held in 1976, with projections for just one night, the festival has been growing and gaining international renown.

Currently, the event lasts a week and involves competition films, slide projections, lectures of the best climbers in the world, exhibition of photographs and a book fair mountain.

After the festival, a selection of the best films through more than 80 cities in 28 countries. Its The Best of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, which passes through countries like United States, Iceland, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, India, New Zealand, South Africa and the European continent. In 2000 included, for the first time, South America, where he was held in Chile.




The Banff Centre


Located within Banff National Park in the province of Alberta, Canada, is considered World Heritage by UNESCO.

The Banff Centre is the only school of higher education in North America dedicated to the arts, the culture of the mountains and leadership development. Currently the center is an international reference for a variety of artistic projects and studies.
